Universities Unite at UN Headquarters to Advance Sustainable Development Through Student-Led Innovation

Students and scholars gathered at the UN Dag Hammarskj?ld Library to explore how universities can advance the SDGs through local action, institutional self-awareness, measurement and accountability. The workshop featured UN Academic Impact member institutions and highlighted peer learning, city partnerships, student leadership and adaptable tools for tracking progress.

Goal of the Month | May 2026: Goal 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

Goal 16 is about promoting peaceful and inclusive societies, providing access to justice for all and building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels. People everywhere should be free of fear from all forms of violence and feel safe as they go about their lives whatever their ethnicity, faith or sexual orientation.
