Informal Interactive Multi-Stakeholder Hearing

Pursuant to resolution , the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations will convene an informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearing as part of the preparatory process for the high-level meeting of the General Assembly on the appraisal of the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons, on 30 June 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
Representatives from relevant non-governmental organizations (including NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC), civil society organizations, academic institutions, and the private sector are invited to register for the Informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearing.

High-level Meeting of the General Assembly on the Appraisal of the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons
24-25 November 2025
Pursuant to , the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations will convene a High-level Meeting of the General Assembly on the appraisal of the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons on 24-25 November 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. It will consist of:
(a) A plenary meeting on 24 November from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., including an opening segment to be held from 10 to 11 a.m.
(b) Two consecutive interactive panel discussions on 24 November, to be held from 3 to 6 p.m.
(c) Plenary meetings on 25 November, to be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 to 6 p.m., including a closing segment to be held at 5.30 p.m.
Interactive panel discussion 1, to be held from 3 to 4.30 p.m., will address the theme ¡°The Global Plan of Action and enduring trafficking issues and gaps which should, inter alia, address the current challenges, gaps and opportunities in implementation of the Global Plan of Action, including child trafficking, trafficking for forced labour and the link between trafficking in persons and organized crime groups.¡±
Interactive panel discussion 2, to be held from 4.30 to 6 p.m., will address the theme ¡°The Global Plan of Action and emerging issues, such as trafficking in persons through new technologies, including the role of artificial intelligence, and trafficking for forced criminality."
