Mogens Lykketoft\u2019s goal, as President of the 70<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0session of the General Assembly, is to support Member States to implement their ambitious and transformative 2030 Agenda through a\u00a0<strong><i>New Commitment to Action<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0as follows:<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-orderedlist decimal\"><\/p>\n<h4>1. Sustainable Development<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Advance the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals forging progress on the means of implementation and supportive multi-stakeholder engagement<\/p>\n<h4>2. Peace and Security<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Advance efforts to strengthen the role and performance of the\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">UN\u2019s\u00a0engagement in peace and security issues, including UN peace operations<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>3. Human Rights<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Support the integration of human rights into all processes and events with a\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">focus on the needs of the millions of people affected by conflicts and disasters<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>4.
