Sahira is a Saudi physician, health law strategist and social entrepreneur dedicated to reshaping how medicine, policy and creativity intersect to serve human dignity. Born in Jeddah and shaped by her formative years in Liverpool and Leeds, she developed a global outlook early on, one defined by curiosity, storytelling and a desire to explore how societies heal and evolve. A TEDx speaker, Qimam Leadership Fellow, and Misk 10X Leaders Fellow, Sahira continues to advocate for human-centered systems that heal not only patients, but communities and societies at large.
She earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Batterjee Medical College, where she founded and served as president of the college’s first Volunteering Club. Under her leadership, students organized community projects across Saudi Arabia and embarked on a transformative medical mission in Tanzania, experiences that deepened her belief in the power of collective action. She later pursued a MSc in Health Law and Strategy at New York University, where she explored how law and policy can advance equity and protect human rights in healthcare.
Today, Sahira serves as an emergency medicine physician at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh. Alongside her clinical work, she founded , a platform that brings art into hospitals and community spaces as a force for healing, dialogue and empowerment. Her initiatives have included curating exhibitions at the Jeddah International Book Fair, hosting art workshops and reimagining the role of creativity in healthcare environments.
