The Secretary-General met today, 21 September 2010, with H.E. Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Secretary General of NATO.
Their discussions covered a range of strategic and operational issues related to UN-NATO cooperation, including NATO's Strategic Concept and its implications in the future. They also discussed cooperation in the context of Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Somalia. The Secretary-General expressed appreciation for NATO as an important partner for the UN. The floods situation in Pakistan was also discussed.
