The Secretary-General met today with the President of Colombia, H.E. Mr. Juan Manuel Santos Calderón.
The Secretary-General praised the President for his commitment to peace, and expressed hope that the current peace talks will soon succeed in ending the armed conflict. The Secretary-General reiterated his full support for the ongoing talks and the willingness of the United Nations to provide support, as needed, to this important process.
The Secretary-General and President Santos Calderón also discussed climate change and Colombia’s contribution to building a post-2015 development agenda.
