The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, President of the Republic of Cyprus.
The Secretary-General and the President discussed progress made in the negotiations aimed at achieving a comprehensive settlement in Cyprus following the adoption of a Joint Declaration by the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders on 11 February 2014.
The Secretary-General and the President also discussed climate change, global efforts to fight terrorism and the threat posed by ISIL, and the Ebola epidemic.
